After careful and detailed renovation, the Festetics Palace opened its gates to the public in the autumn of 2003. The Palace – which was designed by Miklós Ybl – stands in the heart of Budapest, in a part formerly known as magnate-district. It neighbours such buildings and institutes as the National Museum, the Szabó Ervin Library, and the Italian Cultural Institute. The building is a mere two-minute walk from either Kálvin tér or Astoria, thus it is equally easy to reach by public transportation as it is by car. Parking is available in the underground car park beneath Pollack Mihály square.
The building has a double function at present. On the one hand its perfectly renovated historic spaces and courtyard operate as an event venue of unique beauty, on the other in its newly constructed modern education rooms there is university tuition.
As an event location it offers specially decorated rooms and high quality services for the elevated atmosphere of the events held among the walls of the Palace, so that all who visit it will have a really unique and memorable experience. The Palace provides an excellent „background” for concerts, balls, wedding parties, receptions, for any event that requires an environment of classical beauty and fine elegance. Marble Room
A room covered in marble with a special lighting. On the wall there is a mirror with the coat of arms of the Festetich family. This room is mainly recommended for standing receptions with a relatively small number of guests.

Mirror Hall
The „gem” of the building, this classic Baroque ballroom has inlaid wooden floor, Venice mirrors and original crystal chandeliers. It is an imposing venue of even the most elegant events.

Andrássy Room
It is a Rococo woodpaneled room with elegant tapestry on the walls. Grisaille pictures decorate the former music room, from where there is access to the balcony above the main entrance. Capacity in case of a standing reception: 90 people

One of the most beautiful monuments of Southern Buda, the Sacelláry Palace is hidden in the middle of a great park. The building is located in the historic inner city of Budafok, at the foot of the hills of the Budafok vineyards, right next to St. Leopold church. In one of the most beautiful buildings of Budapest from the turn of the century, the wood panels of the interiors and the beautiful painted windows (artist: Miksa Roth) are outstanding examples of the Hungarian art nouveau. Hall (ground floor)
When entering the palace, we soon reach the Hall which used to be and still is the central area of the building. From here there is access to the event rooms. There is a wooden flight of stairs leading from the Hall upstairs that has been used in several Hungarian films (for example Relatives). The wood-panelled interior, the art nouveau painted windows provide an elegant environment for the reception of the guests in any event.
Upstairs Event Room
There is a 90-square-metre room upstairs, providing exclusive venue for weddings. From here we can step out on the terrace of the palace with a nice view over the park.

The Park
There is a two-hectare park around the palace in which a garden party is possible for up to 300-400 guests. It is also suitable for party tents, open-air weddings or other events.

The Reception Hall
After arriving, guests can reach the Hall in the centre of the villa by walking up a richly decorated flight of stairs. Inlaid doors and stuccoed ceilings in the central Hall provide background for catering during events, but it is also appropriate as dance area in case of smaller events. The West wing and the Eas wing open from this Hall, as well as the route to the toilettes.
East wing
To the left from the Hall there is the East wing of the villa. The capacity of the room is perfect for the guests of the wedding party to have dinner in comfort, as well as providing opportunity for chats and/or relaxation during dancing.

The Museum of Fine Arts on Heroes’ Square has one of the biggest historical collections in Hungary. From ancient times to contemporary art, there are countless famous and precious objects in the museum. Apart from its treasures, it is also an excellent location for business events.
Marble Hall
This elegant entrance hall of the museum is named after its wall and floor cover and serves as an impressive reception area. The hall was built to house large statues, in neo-Renaissance style. On the two sides of the hall there are two flights of stairs, serving as a column gallery, providing excellent view over the hall. Upstairs in the hall the walls are adorned with paintings originating from Renaissance palaces of Venice. In the summer of 2005 the hall was converted into a salon.

Renaissance Hall
The Renaissance Hall of the Museum of Fine Arts is decorated with our fresco selection from the 14th and 15th century Italy which is unique in the whole of Europe. Some of the frescos here have only been confirmed by research lately of having an origin from church walls from Perugia and Bergamo. Venice fountains, exhibited in this hall demonstrate the high quality skills of stone carvers from the city, bearing decorative motives of early and late Renaissance.

Baroque Hall
This newly renovated, representative hall of the Museum, that, according to the original idea of its architects, represents an inner courtyard of a palace bears the motives of baroque architecture. Paintings, selected for this hall are from the Italian baroque collection of the Gallery. The present day state of the hall is a reminder of the atmosphere of aristocratic collections of the past, in a little bit of an “overcrowded” display. Statues, exhibited in the middle of the hall, due to their size, make this space a very dynamic one.

The building of the Hungarian Academy of Science in the Buda Castle is not a simple group of historic buildings but the Hungarian history itself. Menagerie
The Menagerie of the biggest baroque palace of Hungary was build between 1746 and 1749. In the 1780s it was connected to the Tuscan column room under the Baroque Theatre and with the beer cellar. The stable with its red marble feeders was completed with a glass corridor on request of Her Majesty, so that her favourite horses could reach the Menagerie through it.
The Menagerie was one of Her Majesty’s favourite places in the palace. Here she learned riding stunts from circus people – for example how to sommersault over a ring. This venue was the home of temporary exhibitions and concerts from the middle of the 1990s until the renovation began.
The renovation of 2010 the Menagerie was made suitable for representative purposes. As the main venue of the 2011 EU presidency, it housed state receptions, negotiations, concerts, exhibitions and balls ever since. The former stable is now the cloak room, with the former stableboys’ rooms above, now beautifully renovated and decorated, there will be an exhibition of the tradition of royal horsemanship. There is a completely new floor under the Menagerie with two 80-square-metre rooms where a 3D projector is going to be installed.

The building of the mansion or „the palace” – as referred to by locals was build at the beginning of the 1800s. It was owned by the Gerébi family until 1956.
The classicist style mansion was fully renovated in 2010, regaining its original beauty.
The mansion, renovated in its original classicist style has two ground floor rooms that can both be used separately as well. The imposing interior can house an event for up to 120 guests. The mansions’ facilities include a swimming pool and a wine cellar as well.
The Inn has 9 double rooms with bathrooms, accommodating comfortably up to 18 people at a time. From the windows of the rooms the guests can enjoy endless peace and beautiful natural landscape. The endless horizon is undisturbed, there is nothing man-made to be seen.

The Event Centre in Százhalombatta opened its gates in the spring of 2010, in the heart of the town. One of the success stories of monument renovation is in Dunaharaszti, the Laffert Mansion. Just a few years ago it was a rundown little old building by the main road of the town. It had not been in use since the end of the 1800s as a mansion, instead it served as a warehouse, then tenement, and last as a sculptor’s studio.
Renovation was completed in 2011, and from 2012 it is awaiting the young couples as an event location for wedding dinners.

The building of Nádasdy Castle in Nádasladány reflects the many centuries of triumphant past as well as the great wealth and power of the Nádasdy family, in a style representative of their ancestors. It is not by coincidence that they chose the style of the English and Scottish castles of the 1500s. Not only does this demonstrate the ancient origins of the Nádasdy family but creates a unique example of architecture in Hungary. One of the most beautiful examples of the age of historicism, this castle was built between 1873 and 1880.
In accordance with the traditions of the age, the areas for social life in the main wing of the castle on the ground floor are separated from the family’s private rooms upstairs and from the guests’ quarters in the side wings and from the service areas in the basement. The castle also houses the picture gallery, archives and library of the Nádasdy family.
The park of the castle, still possessing rare plant species, is under research and reconstruction.

Nowadays a part of the ground floor of the castle is renovated and re-furbished and is waiting for the visitors. Gradually the portraits of famous members of the family are being put back on the walls of the Hall of the Ancestors, and long lost items of the library also find their ways back into the family’s collection from all over the world, to where they were scattered after the Second World War.

One of the biggest bath-complex of Europe, Széchenyi Bath is the first spa in Pest. Its existence can be thanked to Vilmos Zsigmondy, a mining engineer. On his initiative there began successful test drillings in the City Park, where as early as 1881 the first thermal bath opened. Later this was renewed and redesigned by Győző Czigler, and so the present day Bath was built in 1913.
